Inspection and testing of Fire Alarm devices and systems. Including troubleshooting, repair, and 24-hour emergency service.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

  • Respond to customer service calls, scheduled maintenance calls, emergency and after-hours calls on a timely basis.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair a variety of systems for more complicated problems.
  • Analyze repair requirements and provide customer with appropriate solutions; complete necessary repairs and replacements as needed; exercise judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criterion for obtaining results.
  • Complete accurate and detailed service reports to allow for accurate invoicing and job cost tracking.
  • Provide technical support to end users when applicable.
  • Ability to use and understand all applicable NFPA codes
  • Physical ability to complete all general tasks, including but not limited to; Carrying & climbing ladders, working in confined spaces, lifting items up to 75 lbs, ability to use power tools and hand tools.
  • Follow all work orders and instructions.

Job Requirements

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Clean cut/professional appearance.
  • Willingness to work with and train others while on the job.
  • Must have a clean and valid Florida Driver’s License
  • One year of previous of fire alarm systems or relevant field service experience required.
  • Self-motivator with minimal supervision required
  • Maintain compliance with all company and state/federal safety standards, regulations, and procedures
  • Perform work in an efficient and organized manner.
