Job Description

Repair and testing of water-based fire protection systems including fire sprinklers, standpipes, fire pumps, fire hydrants, backflow prevention, and underground utilities, and 24-hour emergency service.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

  • Perform service and repairs on fire sprinkler systems for commercial/industrial/residential sites
  • Participate in On-Call rotation
  • Receive service calls from CSR/dispatch and work directly with office
  • Use hand and power tools
  • Cut and thread pipe
  • Assist with and perform water based inspections
  • Maintain accurate and precise documentation daily
  • Oversee work of helpers, Mentor and coach as necessary
  • Read and understand drawings and blueprints.
  • Test piping systems for leaks and read gauges.
  • Climbing ladders and scaffold and the ability to work in excess of 40 feet from the floor
  • Lift up to 75 lbs above head
  • Standing for 8 hours

Job Requirements

  • 4 + years documented experience in the fire sprinkler industry.
  • Extensive knowledge of various types of Sprinkler Systems
  • Knowledge of applicable NFPA codes and standards
  • Maintain knowledge of current industry standards and new technologies
  • Self motivator with no supervision required
  • Maintain compliance with all company and state/federal safety standards, regulations, and procedures
  • Perform work in an efficient and organized manner
  • Communicate in a professional manner and provide excellent customer service
  • Display professional appearance and act as company representative
  • Maintain valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Maintain clean company vehicle/required service/inventory
  • Maintain all required certifications
  • NICET Levels 1 & 2 a plus
  • Backflow Prevention Tester and Repair Certification a plus
